SDU inspection & design
We audit the site, analyze evacuation routes, calculate air exchange and pressure, and develop the SDU concept and schematics.
Design, installation and maintenance of smoke extraction and smoke control ventilation for parking facilities, shopping malls, warehouses and office buildings in Tashkent and across Uzbekistan. We consider regulatory requirements, aerodynamics, fire resistance of components and automation scenarios during a fire event.

Smoke extraction: design, installation, automation, testing and service. Per facility.
We audit the site, analyze evacuation routes, calculate air exchange and pressure, and develop the SDU concept and schematics.
We install axial/radial smoke exhaust fans and mount EI60–EI120 shafts and ducts for smoke extraction routes.
We install smoke/fire dampers, SDU panels and modules, route cables and connect to fire alarm and BMS systems.
We test the SDU, measure velocity and pressure, prepare protocols and provide scheduled maintenance service.
Smoke extraction: design and commissioning aligned with regulations and real operating conditions.
We select solutions based on fire regulations and inspection guidance: room category, evacuation time, airflow and pressure are calculated.
We use fans rated up to 400°C/2 hours, certified dampers and ducts; selection is based on aerodynamics, noise and service needs.
We design SDU for parking, malls, warehouses and industrial facilities; we consider route intersections, height limits and maintenance access.
We connect SDU with fire alarm and notification: stop general ventilation, start smoke extraction, control dampers and trigger alerts.
Smoke extraction: inspection, design, installation, commissioning and handover to operation.
We review layout solutions, room heights, evacuation routes and existing engineering systems. We define smoke extraction and pressurization zones, determine duct routes and fan room locations.
We calculate airflow rates, pressure losses and required pressure values. We select fans, dampers and ducts, prepare automation schemes and equipment specifications, and formalize design documentation for coordination with the customer and supervisory authorities.
We install smoke extraction and pressurization units, lay shafts and ducts with fire protection and thermal insulation. Suspension systems, inspection sections and route marking are organized based on fire resistance and service requirements.
We install smoke and fire dampers in corridors, halls and shafts, and mount SDU control panels. We route control and signaling cables, integrate the system with fire alarm, BMS and dispatching, and configure logic links and interlocks for emergency signals.
We tune operating modes for fans and dampers and verify start-up scenarios by the “Fire” signal. We measure airflow velocity and pressure at control points, check operation under shutdown and backup power conditions, and document test protocols and commissioning reports.
We prepare as-built documentation, automation diagrams, route plans and operating instructions. We train technical and duty staff on system operation, actions during a fire and regular checks.
We perform scheduled inspections and testing of automation and equipment, and upgrade components if needed. We help with preparation for supervisory inspections and propose solutions to modernize and expand SDU as the facility evolves.

TESCOM ENGINEERING designs and implements smoke extraction and smoke control ventilation systems for parking facilities, shopping malls, warehouses and industrial sites. We align regulatory requirements, operating conditions and customer objectives to ensure stable operation, clear fire-mode algorithms and readiness for inspections.
Smoke extraction: popular questions and answers about design, installation and operation.
The requirement depends on design regulations and the building category. Underground parking, shopping malls, high-rise buildings and some public facilities may require SDU, and it is checked by supervisory authorities during commissioning and subsequent inspections.
In some cases, existing shafts and ducts can be used if their cross-section, fire resistance and routing meet regulatory requirements. Usually additional inspection, enhanced fire protection, installation of specialized valves and fans, and adjustments to automation schemes are required.
Smoke extraction systems are high-reliability engineering systems and typically require a backup power source. The exact scheme (second feeder, generator, ATS, etc.) is defined by the facility reliability category and design solutions. At the design stage, we coordinate solutions with the power supplier and the facility operations team.
The maintenance schedule depends on regulations and manufacturer recommendations. Typically, there are monthly operational checks and at least once a year — full tests with fire-mode simulation. Based on results, reports and test protocols are prepared, and repairs or modernization are performed if needed.
